東京大学未来ビジョン研究センター･グローバルコモンズセンターにおける食料バリュ ーチェーンにおける環境負荷等の見える化プロジェクト活動を推進するために、本業務では、ベトナムにおけるコーヒー及びガーナにおけるカカオを対象とし、以下の調査・研究業務を実施した： バリューチェーンの構造調査･分析、同バリューチェーンにおける環境･社会･経済面の課題調査･ 分析、並びに同課題の改善･解決策の検討 バリューチェーンにおける環境･社会･経済面の課題に対する改善･解決策の定量･定性的な効果 検証 環境負荷等の見える化に向けたサステナビリティ評価モデル策定支援 本報告書は、以上の業務の成果を取りまとめたものである。

本業務では、3月18日～22日にドイツ・ボンのUNキャンパスで実施された、国連気候変動枠組み条約（UNFCCC）第11回森林参照排出レベルの技術的評価（a technical assessment session of proposed forest reference emission levels and/or forest reference levels）に専門家として参加、対応を行った。同技術的評価には、全部で9か国からの森林参照排出レベルの提出があり、IGES研究員は、うち1か国の森林参照排出レベルの技術的評価を、もう一名の専門家と共に実施した。
