2023 年のＧ７サミットは、日本が議長国を務め、2023 年５月に広島で開催することが決定している。また、サミットの開催に合わせ、様々なＧ７関係閣僚会合が開催される予定であり、北海道札幌市において、環境省が経済産業省とともに、気候・エネルギー・環境大臣会合（開催予定日：2023 年４月15 日（土）～16 日（日））を開催する。本大臣会合に先立ち、令和５年１月から準備会合が開催された。 本業務では、これらＧ７会合（サミット及び大臣会合並びにその準備・関連会合）に関して、議論に必要となる資料の収集・分析、成果文書案の分析、報告書の作成等を行い、また同会合や準備会合等に関する技術支援等を行い、会合の成果が環境政策の推進に資するよう、業務を行った。

令和5年は、インドがG20議長国となり、7月に環境・気候大臣会合及び９月にサミットが開催される予定となっている。また大臣会合に先立ち令和4年度内から準備会合が開催された。 本業務では、令和4年度に開催された準備会合に関して、議事録、速報版、報告書の作成などを行った。また、同準備会合などに関する情報収集・分析などのサブスタンス支援を行った。

本書は 北九州市の海外水ビジネスの展開状況をまとめたものである。 第 1 章で海外水ビジネス市場の動向と北九州市の国際協力の歩みについて触れ、第 2 章で 100 年以上の歴史を有する北九州市の上下水道がどのように整備されてきたかを振り返り、第 3 章では北九州市のカンボジアとベトナムでの海外展開の事例を詳述し、第 4 章では海外展開を進める市内企業 4 社に焦点を当ててその展開のアプローチを紹介し、最後の第 5 章において北九州市から海外に拡がる水ビジネスの今後について考察する構成となっている。 なお、本書は、北九州市産業技術保存継承センター（北九州イノベーションギャラリー）の調査研究事業の一環で作成されたものである。

北九州市アジア低炭素化センターは 2010 年 6 月に開設され、今年 開設 10 周年を迎える。そこで、北九州市は、同センター開設 10 周年記念事業として、投資家、企業経営者、起業家等の民間企業関係者を対象とした「ホラシス会議」の誘致を予定している。当業務では、ホラシス会議の全体会で取り上げるテーマ案として、同センター開設 10 周年記念事業として相応しいテーマ案を設定するものである。
